Sometimes you can meet people in the strangest of places and become really close. I believe in fate and that nothing happens by accident. Such is the case with meeting someone via Woyano.
A year ago or so this person found woyano via the video posted on youtube by I think JV. In any case, he found his way to Woyano.
After reading through what he posted about himself I knew he and I would become great friends - and we have ever since.
Even though I rarely post on Woyano anymore, and I tend to post only to those I have enjoyed reading in the past - it is pretty sweet that I have met some cool people by chance on this site.

Blogs, Loves Bloc Party -- 7 months ago, by Loves Bloc PartyI was reading this article and it struck me that I too felt the same way as many other Americans about the way the USA is today as compared to 8 years ago. I remember a time when people who didn't know each other would say hi to one another and smile. Today that doesn't happen as often. There is definetly an ideological war going on, an economic struggle just to save ones' home, and a shrinking middle class.

Blogs, Loves Bloc Party -- 7 months ago, by Loves Bloc PartyJust recently I have started to examine the 3 top Democratic candidates more closely as it relates to their policy ideas etc. For me and many other Americans the most important issues are Universal Healthcare, the War in Iraq and the Economy.
Thus far I have thought that Barack Obama is the candidate with the most progressive values and policies - but I'm not so sure about that anymore.
As the debates continue and ideas, policies and thoughts are put on the table I am starting to see that John Edwards may be the most progressive candidate. After all, he has put Universal Healthcare at the forefront of his campaign for president. Both Hillary and Barack are not for true Universal Healthcare. Secondly, John Edwards would have a much quicker resolution to this war in Iraq. And lastly, he seems to be the candidate who would look out more for the nations poor - as he continues to not except corporate lobbyist money because of his very anti-extreme corporatism beliefs.
While I like Barack Obama's personality, and have supported him up until this point - I think I may have to vote for John Edwards based on Edwards' policies.
Does anyone in my private group have anything to add? I am going to continue to research the candidates and make an informed decision in March 2008.

Back in May, a friend of mine from Ireland was supposed to tour the United States and stop by Cleveland on his way to Arizona to visit me and another friend of ours. A couple weeks before he was to come he didn't return calls or emails to our mutual friend and I.
We thought since he had just started dating a lovely gal that perhaps he had decided to skip going to the USA for a while. But we were both wondering why he just fell out of touch, since he had bought a plane ticket and was really looking forward to coming to the USA for the first time, for a visit.
Well today I found out that he was actually in a car accident in May, two of his friends were with him and they both died. My friend ended up in a coma, and has just recently come out of it.
Im so thankful he is okay.

In a year or two if I am still in the USA (I may be making plans to move to the UK, don't know yet!) I will need to buy a new car.
If I have to have a car, I want a hybrid! This picture is of a Toyota Prius. Everywhere I go I see more and more people with them - and I must say - I am a little envious. Not because it is such a good looking car - but because of how much it saves on gas!!!
My aunt bought one and got an excellent deal in California - she donated her old car to charity and got a huge tax break. Then she got a tax break again, because hybrids guzzle less gas and are therefore better for the environment! She saved money all the way around!
I think SUV's and other big gas guzzling monsters are on the way out the door (plus they don't fit well into parking spaces, especially parallel parking - have you ever had to park next to a Hummer? forget about it!)
If I have to buy a new car in the next year or two, I am thinking a hybrid is the way to go.
Any Woyanoer with a hybrid?

This test was featured on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" this week and it works with the subconscience to find hidden bias/prejudices we might have.
Give it a try, you might be surprised at the results.

How is it that OJ Simpson avoided jail time when he had the smoking gun on his property?
How is it that Paris Hilton can avoid serving her sentence?
How is it that Scooter Libby will likely be pardoned by the President?
Why do the rich & famous get to commit crimes then avoid jail?
Makes me sick.
