Blogs, imperfect_scarecrow -- 12 months ago, by imperfect_scarecrowI don't know if you have ever sat in an exam hall, with 200+ people before, but I tell u one thing. its Deafening.
Despite Prior Stereotypes of eerie silence, a feeling of cold and isolation, I found myself blocking my ears, screaming inside my very core, crying, pleading with the world to make this horrible noise stop.
The sound of hundreds of pages turning, attendance sheets ripping, pens scratching, the coughs, the sneezing and the deep horrible thud, the never quitting, never failing tick of the clock.
I find myself holding my head in my hands, hair drooping lifeless over my face, sobbing at the aspect that perusal has only just begun, there is still three hours remaining until I can be free of this awful place.
The minutes tick away, I'm still stunned, Deafened unable to move. my eyes begin to shake, my palms are sweating. I'm only still looking at the cover page.....
' TEN MINUTES REMAINING ' a voice booms throughout the hall. Fear grips me, How can it be over? How can I be instructed to leave when I have done so little? The sound, that deafening sound I wanted so badly to end, now, I want to stay for that moment more. There is still so much to be done. I now fear the silence that is to come after these ten minutes have ended.
Its over, I run for the door, I escape the terror that grips me. The outside air burns my lungs, I gasp, choke, splutter, then freedom.
it grips me no longer, I'm free.

The sky was dark, but it was morning.
The sun hid behind the clouds, afraid to show its face.
The air was frigid and the ground was saturated.
The clunk of heavy boots colliding with the concrete echoed of dull grey buildings.
Then silence.
Shrouded figures stood in the distance, heads hung low, not daring to into the black forsaken sky.
A frozen gust shook the shadows, there heads remained bowed, they prayed in many tongues.
A distant Screech.
A Bright light broke through the darkness.
Was this a beacon of hope?Or one of Dread?
It arrived, a great steel and iron beast.
It Roar was deafening.
it brought with it more shadows, there heads also hung low.
The shadows move, they became one with the beast.
It consumed all that where present.
It Roar was the sign that it had finished its' meal.
The great beast began to move, it would take the shadows to the great battlefield.
The Battlefield Began to Rise up on the Distance Horizon...
