Scientists have expressed concern about the use of autonomous decision-making robots, particularly for military use.

As they become more common, these machines could also have negative impacts on areas such as surveillance and elderly care, the roboticists warn.

      I saw a show about japanese robots who were trained to lift people, and had sensors so they wouldn't bump into someone. In the same show they showed a robot who looked very human, and testpersons got to see her for a couple of seconds, there were quite a few who got fooled, thinking she was a human.
