 Hello all!

Ok I'm the best man to one of my best mates and have to organise his stag doo - so I though I'd put it out there and ask if anyone has some good ideas experiences) that I could cash in on?

This would  be also much easier if I was actually in New Zealand (where the wedding is, oh, and where I live), but will be in SE Asia untill the day before the stag night... yeah I can hear you all now - Nice one Will...

And before anyone says: "just look it up in google, she knows all!" I have - and they all tell me that I'm a retard for not planning the stag night 5 months before.... WTF!?

So anyways I have two weeks and a team of helpers (well, they will help one way or another - they just don't know it yet) to get my plans underways!

I just need some plans now....

Damn it!!

Friends held a stag at a horse race track - seemed to be a big hit and not complicated as they offer fine dining a bar etc... just a thought

Strip bars and handcuffs were always a big hit.

Door to door limo with adult beverages is also a great touch.

Cheat. Invite them all round to yours ... ply them with Booze (as a 'prep' for the evening). When your groom is so frazzled he can't see straight, strip him, tie him to a lamppost and from then on, have all your mates regularly tell him what a great night it was - pity he can't remember it.

Dude, I planned an entire Bachelorette Party abroad on the net. Thank goodness for Google and Skype is all I have to say. I was living in London and the party was to happen in Hollywood. I booked reservations at a fancy restaurant for 20 girls, ordered party favors and games, designed and ordered a cake, booked us on the guest list at 2 cool clubs, and invited everyone by coordinating over Skype. All I had to do when I got to LA was pick up the cake, buy decorations, and make sure I got there on time lol.

I would guess that most groups of guys would do the limo/food/clubs/bars bit, and it's less hassle in terms of being far away and having to book in advance. It may be more expensive but less stress for you as the best man who is planning all this. Your mates can chip in and most people feel fine about donating to the bachelor party. This way you can have fun and not worry about how you're getting home. And changing venues is good because you get more exposure, people taking notice of your party. Designate the groom in some way that involves, shall we say, "audience participation" lol. Plan to meet at a mate's house to do the limo pickup, saves money. Get something to eat, then off to maybe one or two other venues where you can see a show/interact with people.

Of course it really depends on the groom's tastes where you decide to go, it should be someplace he would enjoy. When my guy friend got married, all his mates from high school took him back to all their favorite hangouts from when they were teenagers (even the local 7-11!) They spent the whole night reminiscing and they had a really good time. Stag parties that are cheap but creative might just be the most fun.

Georgie, you should get into the party planning business. That was great information!

Yeah i agree! You rock Georgie! Thanks for the quick response everyone!

Well I've got a good mate to organise the paintball (the groom requested this, so I know he'll be happy/sober for at least this part), even tho I know he will be the most shot at in his compulsory bright pink clothing haha!

Then I was thinking that poker / drinks / cigars at his brothers place for the avo - with food and drinking rules - then off to bars etc.
This way its relitivly cheep, but covers lots of tastes/bases...

I'll check back to see any updates - nobody has said any good pranks yet...
oh except Snak - thats way too funny! Like the idea but I'm up for a big party out - so I'll put that one on the shelf for now - chur!

I was also thinking that drinking games in bars actually work well as long as you don't get kicked out (yeah Al - New Years rocked!) so might try this one at home... only did I say his boss is coming? and that I might work for him too? shits, well. I'll just have to see how that goes down. haha

                  looking forward to it! ;)

                  Cheers all!

Have forefit shots (of alcohol) for every time you're shot (by a paintball) ... then just go for the groom... instant excuse to get him wankered!
Pranks... you lost the wedding ring? That ones always good to sober him up halfway through the night so you can hit him with more alcohol.
As for the boss... if he can't forgive stag night pranks... sod 'im!
