I have just finished Earth ,air, fire and custard, by Tom Holt

A continuation from The portable Door , welcome again to a realm of the sumblimly redicuously accurate, a snapshot on modern life.Combining the talent of Prattchett,Sharpe, Stephen Fry and the posssibilty of time paradox's .

The modern world is not as we see it, goblins, trolls, evil lord etc.... are lurking.

Enter our "hero" In love, unrequited, manipulated by the bad guy, and how doe's he save the Earth??

To all fans of Pratcett I would say seek this authour out, he takes some time to get used to but the results are worthwile, you will end up giggling on the bus again.

This author will challenge Stephen Hawkins with the way he mucks about with things...but the end result is a very funny book.
