We have been getting quite a lot of feedback that our design
is not quite serious enough for the type of community that
we are building here.
As a result we feel that we need to change the look and feel to make
it fit with the type of contributions and sensible discussions that
have been happening on Woyano.
Before we make any drastic changes, we wanted to run our new
design concept past you to see what you think about it...

What do you think?

FYI - The reason for moving from Blue to Red/Wine is because after recent research we have seen that community websites can benefit from using warm colours, rather than cold blues.
Makes a place feel more homely apparently!
Just a suggestion. I do like the new design.. has nice colors.
Looking good

also, the "join" box and the "what's woyano" box seem to me to be somewhat duplicative _ and with both right at the top, side by side, I found myself wondering why they were in that position since their content is so similar. i didn't like, don't like, the "promote yourself" portion of the current setup, incidentally. i guess that what i'm doing, but i sure don't want to admit it, let alone acknowledge that it's the main reason for jumping in. LOL
also, it seems to me that the yellow of the "what's woyano" box clashes with red/wine. ditto the yellow of that box and the yellow of the "join now" bar. in fact, there are five different yellows in those two boxes, and i don't think they work with each other, let alone with the red/wine. all this may be just an idiosyncratic reaction, of course.
also don't like the green of the "contribute now" bar ... what's research say abut that bluish-green that geeko used in one of his skins? i like that green. anyway, though, why have a "contribute now" bar on a first-glance page? one would have to have joined in order to use it, right?
I like geeko's comment about interests and finding people _ it's already difficult to page through the membership. and edoriv's comment about color choice: of course, that would be after one had joined, so it wouldn't apply to first-glance enticement, which i gather is part of your intent in the proposed change. otherwise, i second the idea. for instance, i've noticed that the MSN home page has color choice boxes at the top; the default blue is fine with me, so i haven't used the choice, but i rather like having it available. maybe sometime on a given day i'll feel one way and go for red, and on another day, pick some other color for a while.
ermmmm, sorry about all this, boss. i'm just automatically kinda analytical *wan smile*
I like edoriv's idea about allowing us to be able to change the main site colors. Maybe a few basic themes (red wine/blue water/puke green/hot sexy pink) - not many, just four or so. That way we can personalize the main site a little.
Hey you know AdGuy always gets the last word! ;)
