Volkswagen GTI W12 650 Concept

Volkswagen unveiled an imressive new concept car at the W örthersee festival in Austria last week. The VW Golf concept, known as the GTI W12 650, houses a mid engined 650PS (641bhp) W12 engine and if it goes into production it will be the fastest Golf ever produced by VW.

        I think your right Graeme, its more of a design study giving the VW designers an oppertunity to flex their brain muscles. The images in my gallery all appear to be renders, or heavily photoshopped, rather than the real thing.

        I did come across one tiny photo of what looked to be the real car surrounded by PR folk on the German VW Press release page, but then it also looked like it was doing a burnout inside a building... either that or it had a blown head gasket (or gaskets, its a W12) when the photo was taken???

          Looks good, but it doesn't really push the boudries for a concept car.
