It's an interesting thought.  I can't say I haven't wished for just such a thing!  But is it safe?  What are the long term effects of not having a period when you should be?  If you decide to take the pill... should you allow a period every once in a while? How often?

Thoughts?

For the women out there... would you take it?

    Nah, I'd pass. There's something comforting about having a hormonal cycle, something about self care, and the passing of time, and being connected with other women when your cycles synchronise and stuff. Does that sound bizarre? I might be singing a different tune if I had severe cramping or the depression that sometimes goes along with that time of the month for some women.

          I don't think I would take it either. Not long term, certainly although I can see the benefit of periodic (hah!) control. And I do have the severe cramping and emotional roller coaster! I just can't see how halting the bodies natural cycles can be healthy or NOT do some longterm harm. And there is no way they've had the opportunity to understand the long term ramifications.
