We got in the door and were shown to our seats, which are bar stools alongside a conveyor belt, with your food going round. The first time I encountered this format was at Yo Sushi in Dublin, and boy did we have a great time!
For those that haven't experienced this sort of thing, on the conveyor belt is freshly prepared plates of food, each plate has a distinguishing colour or pattern, which indicates how much the food on the plate costs. You can have as little or much as you want, and usually there are opportunities to order anything specific, which I chose to.
I ordered the Sashimi Kyoto - raw salmon, raw tuna, and raw fish of the day. I specifically asked for tako which is octopus and they were able to do so. We were able to watch my sashimi being prepared, and it was served as you can see below.
I highly recommend this restaurant if anyone happens to be in the area. The atmosphere is nice, laid back, you can chat to other parties if you wish sitting alongside you. Usual asian beers are available, Asahi, Sapporo, Tiger, as well as sake if you wish.
I hope someone finds this useful and manages to get there :)
