Originally from Wexford, Wayne O'Connor is currently living in Sligo, Ireland. He was often badgered into singing by his friends during his time in Sligo RTC (Now Institute of Technology Sligo) studying art. Music and songwriting slowly became his grá (Irish way of saying his love) . He says his songs are "invested with emotion and strength" and "range from slow burning ballads to tongue in cheek rock". We say - he rocks.

One thing is for certain - after numerous successful gigs in the North West of Ireland and several appearances in the bigger cities (namely Dublin) supporting such luminaries as Director, Roesy, Maria Doyle Kennedy,Carnival Salloon and Brian Kennedy - Wayne is becoming known as one of the upcoming singer songwriters in Ireland. His recent appearances at the Zodiac sessions went down very well and he has vowed to come back to Dublin soon.

2007 has seen the release of his first EP "Drawing lines" which features some of his more upbeat tracks as well as some truly touching pieces.
