Strawberries - with Pepper

Try this! Add a sprinkling of freshly ground black pepper to your bowl of strawberries ( don't add cream). Yum, yum.

June is the height of the English strawberry season - and the unofficial start of the English Social Season following on from the Chelsea Flower Show opened by HM the Queen in May. Then follows Royal Ascot (horse racing); Royal Academy Summer Show ( art by professional and amateur artists) ; Wimbledon ( lawn tennis); Henley ( rowing); Goodwood ( more horse racing)...all celebrated with strawberries and cream ( as well as champers and Pimms). BUT - whether you don't like cream or on a diet or just want to experience a new taste sensation do try this and let me know what you think :D
