I tried this one too! I can do the first couple of moves and then I just give up. Did anyone get it right?

I actually solved this one within the first minute. Where's the other puzzle? I wanna have a go with that one as well. Need to rule out if I was just lucky or actually pretty smart! ;)

Did not look to a possible solution. Think I have one. Suppose the coin on top is numbered 1, left below 2, right below 3 and bottom 4. Move 3 above right of 1 and 2. Move 3 above 1 and 2. Move 1 right of 3 and 2. Move 3 between 4 and 2. Are there other or shorter tricks?

Umm, took me three goes, then solved. There's only one opening move, (as all other moves are the same as the starting position or mirrors of those moves) and then each move from there is also only one "real" move and the rest are mirrors of that move or return you to a previous positon. Remarakably simple I thought?

Yea, I did the first time... The first time I watched the sulotion and followed each step, step by step. So I'm not a genius or maybe just to impatient to think it over for long. Thanks for the notice on this JV it was fun to watch and try.

Great puzzle! I enjoyed this very much.

I managed to solve it on the first attempt and here's why. I didn't start moving coins hoping a solution would appear. I thought abuot the rules and realized what my only move could be to place the last coin in the row and the solution came to me very quickly. I think a lot of people get hung up on thinking they have to leave the coins touching at all times, but that's a personal mental block that has to be overlooked.

                              Thanks JV!

nice I love puzzles like this actually I really like the old tavern puzzles made from metal loops and bars where you have to get some loop or bar apart from the rest of the puzzle. The Patience Puzzle is my favorite.

I pretty much had the solution from the start when you explained what legal moves are... leaving one sitting alone made sense instantly since it's "not a move" so i fugured that's legal ;)

                                cheers!

nice puzzle. but it was a little easy. logicaly if you think about the moves you are making there aren't very many choices when making moves. Also the last move was pretty obvious before i even started trying. It took me 3 tries and less than 30 seconds to figure it out...

I got the first one on the first try and this one the second try. this one i got in 5 moves, but in a different way then the video showed. i made sure i followed the rules and did it again. I was just wondering if there are any more puzzles like this. even though these ones i got lucky with, i want to try my hand at some more!

I got this one rather quickly, of course without looking at your solution, lol. It was a fun brain teaser nonetheless. I might even have enjoyed this one more than your previous coin puzzle... since I took me so much less time to solve :P

Here is how I arrived at the solution:

(1), (2), (3) and (4) are the coins and " _ " represents an empty space the size of a coin, and the dots are just to line up the diagrams

                                          Sart:

                                          ...........(2)
                                          .........(1) (3)
                                          ...........(4)

Move coin (4) to touch coins (2) and (3):

                                          ...........(2)(4)
                                          .........(1) (3)

Move coin (3) to touch coins (1) and (2):

                                          ........(3)(2)(4)
                                          .........(1)

Move coin (2) to touch coins (3) and (1):

                                          .......(3) _ (4)
                                          ......(2)(1)

Move coin (1) to touch coins (2) and (3):

                                          .....(1)(3) _ (4)
                                          ......(2)

And finally more coin (2) inbetween coins (3) and (4):

                                          .....(1)(3)(2)(4)

Anyway once again thank you for the fun puzzle JV :) Please post if you have more.

Nice puzzle. Did it in on the first try though, less than 30 seconds. For me the rule about the coin having to touch 2 coins gives the answer away.

I don't think this is more difficult than the first one - I could only do that after seeing the solution twice.

..ok, i just sortet them in three moves...have i misunderstood this? Only moving coins that touch and they all end up touching eachother in the end. Big ones at the left side and small ones at the right side.

I had to try the coin trick twice. The first time I got it but my big coins were on bottom and small on top. So I rewatched the video and got it correct the second time.
