One question about this is... should new items appear at the top, or the bottom of the RSS feed? (at the moment they are appearing at the top)

I don't think the order matters. Any worthwhile RSS reader should let users sort whichever way they want. :)

Awesome! In addition to tabs, would it also work on Quicklinks, eg. something like http://www.woyano.com/michael/japanese?format=rss?

Do you mean should the RSS contain full text or just an excerpt? Although I find full text convenient, I also think it's a waste of bandwidth. If I read an article and want to comment on it, I click through and then the site loads all the same text I've already read. On a small scale, it doesn't matter, but when you've got thousands of users doing that it adds up, especially considering that a single user might subscribe to many different feeds. Or after a while you end up having tons of people who read everything via RSS and rarely bother visiting the site to enjoy all of its other great features and participate in the community. Digg would hardly be anything special if it weren't for the lively discussions, and likewise I think removing the Woyano content too far from Woyano itself would take away something of its spirit. However, you may find that full text makes people happy and that consequently, they visit the site more regularly because of that good feeling. Myself, I have to admit that I rarely visit some of my favorite sites anymore since I can get most of the content through RSS. RSS is terribly convenient; sometimes too terribly. :/ I love it, though, and can hardly do without it. :)

Thanks. I think we'll set it up to give an abstract of the article, and full comments. I'm guessing it's more useful for comments anyways.

In the mean time we're just about to start work on the search agent stuff.
