Brilliant system. :)

Regarding more than one ID per page:

"You agree that while You may display more than one (1) Ad Unit on each Site Web page, You shall not display any Ad Unit on a page that contains Ads associated with another Google AdSense customer (e.g., Your Web hosting company), unless authorized to do so by Google."

However, despite how that sounds, here's how Google responded at the official Adsense forum:

"As long as a website is in compliance with our program policies, and the owner has given you permission to display ads on their site, you're allowed to place your ad code along with the other publisher's ad code on the same page." (http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help-misc/browse_thread/thread/fbfea071f2d3238/4dc9e9952242fc93?lnk)

Just to be careful, though, you still may want to query Google directly for the go ahead. It'll be good for them to know what to expect when they review Woyano's Adsense stats.

Hi Michael. We don't actually show more than one ad code at a time. If there are five pieces of content on a page, we randomly choose which one to show the advert for on every page view.

Oh, I know that, I was just responding to the statement above, "It just depends if we can use more than one Google Adsense ID on the same page" in regards to earning ad revenue for comments as well as content.

By the way, do you have any sort of script in place to make sure that when I'm viewing my own content the ads shown are not linked to my own personal Adsense ID? Or does one just need to be careful not to click on one's own ads? I suspect that as you go into mainstream release, you're going to end up with users who have never had an Adsense account before and are deploying Adsense for the first time, so any protection you could give them would be handy.

Also, this becomes an issue if you implement the multiple Adsense ID per page thing (see above) in order to reward commenters, as even a careful person could click on their own Adsense without realizing it. A protective script would be absolutely necessary to avoid such problems.

Thankfully, if one chooses a charity rather than personal account, clicking ads on one's own Woyano should never be a problem unless someone does it to excess (and the charity would suffer the consequences of that, unfortunately).

Your articles are about japan. When google serves ads for your content it will be about japan. If you are looking at your content and google displays an interesting ad about japan, and you click it - what is the problem with that - you are the perfect target audience for googles japanese ads!

An important point to note is that Google adsense themselves have spent a lot of man hours programming against click fraud.

If you click on an ad that you are interested in, and it has the potential to earn money for the advertiser its not click fraud.

If you start clicking lots of your own ads google will know that it's click fraud and deal with it appropriately - (they use ip tracking and that kind of thing)
