With music downloads outselling CD singles by four to one in the UK and the music charts revamped to include download sales, the digital revolution is having a big impact on the music industry.

Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars was one of the biggest selling singles of 2006. On sales of CDs and downloads it went as high as number six in the UK charts.

    i'd never pay to download music...i prefer to buy the vinyl or failing that pick up the cd..
    but then i dont listen to commercial chart music..

      i must agree , i dont pay to downoad music , my step kid got bored with his 5th gen. 30 gig Ipod and bought a PSP so i got the less than a yr old Ipod for 100 bucks *S* and i still dont pay to download music , as long as i can transfer my music and photo's to my ipod , why would i pay for music , i copy full album discs and then put them on my Ipod and also have had both vehicles set up to plug and play my ipod , sooo no need to buy the music online that i dont buy in cd form ...so i say Free musc rocks *S*
