Ok so here's the idea... This thread is the official Woyano Karaoke Party
where woyano people get to put up their best ( or worst ) karaoke...

I found a site that let's you record audio or audio AND video if you are brave :)
The site is called SingShot however you don't need to use singshot if you have other means of sending your karaoke up to woyano but singshot seemed easy enough for everyone. http://www.singshot.com/index.html

TIP : I can't stress how important it is if you can use headphones... the feedback echo can really ruin a fantastic performance. If you have a portable MP3 player grab the headphones! it will make a huge difference. If you have a hard time hearing yourself leave one ear out.

For quick access to all the song I'll update this post with links to the tracks.

Well I would have sooner but I lost my voice doing Head Like Hole over the weekend that's what I get for screaming like Trent lol. But I'll put one up ASAP.

I'm considering doing a karaoke video of a Cure song lol in a spoofy fun way with make up and all. Of course I'll HAVE to do Depeche Mode too... and If I can swing it a duet on Love Shack with Tequila Rose ;)

  Well we're working out the details... so far my suggestion is for her to sing the girl parts on SingShot then I play it back with her part on it and record it to my computer then in my studio add the male part... complex but it's one possible way... If singshot doesn't provide a way to do it directly
  
  OH and I meant to mention to everyone USE HEADPHONES when you record or the sound from your speakers will be re recorded back through and it will sound pretty bad. :)

i cant try it now cos i'm at work - although I have been known to burst into random song, will def have a go from home, altho can u just record the sound or do u need a webcam??

Come on everybody, use that coffee break at work to hit up the karaoke and decide which song you're gonna do. Then, when you get home find a nice quiet spot and sing like you're in the karaoke bar after one too many margaritas! I did it with no margaritas (and I'm regretting it now) *L*

  you can rate them right in this thread..... if you look to the right of the heading of each post it says # votes and then an up or down arrow I figured people would want to vote and thought that made sense to use so it's all contained in one topic

Great job Georgie!!!!! Ive got friends on my comcast forum who sing on there....love to hear everyones rendition! Ive yet to get the nerves and the QUIET in my house in order to sing! My son wants to sing...so I may have him give it a go! LOL

Ok so I started all this so I suppose it's my turn... my voice was in a bit better shape from this weekends screaming festival... but you can tell it's still a bit scratchy...

Alright. Better late than never. This is my first unofficial public karaoke performance, so be nice. :-) I had to use the built in mic on my laptop, so the quality isn't the best. Don't stop listening part way through -- I get a little better as I go -- plus there's more vocals at the end after a 31 Measure instrumental. BTW, I'm new here. I'll try get something in my profile ASAP.

Hmm , well no hope for me on this on chaps, I use the local library for internet access and me yowling like a cat with its nuts caught in a mangle might just upset the clientelle. Have fun though.

Fantastic idea! I don't have a microphone for my computer though. I'll have to buy one this weekend. Pity I can't go out and buy a better voice. In all honesty, I have a horrible, horrible singing voice. I promise to choose a short song to keep your listening agony brief.

  Are you using Mac or PC? if you use a Mac the easiest thing to use is Garageband... If it's a PC I'll need to look into it... I don't use my PC for digital recording. I'll post a new topic later on a how to use Garageband to roll your own karaoke and I'll look into the PC thing and post that too :)

This is a cool idea and I would love to join in cos I love karaoke and buy every ps2 singstar that comes out and am the undisputed champion of my group - only cos everyone else is shite! I'd like to take part but a) I haven't a clue how to use singshot and b) the only internet access I have is at work. If there is another way I could do it I would.
