Over the last few days as the killings went on in Gaza City, all the do-gooders have popped out of the woodwork, we should have negotiated with Hamas after all they were the Democratic choice of the Palestinian people, this is true, but if we to go back to the time of Adolf Hitler, we are reminded that he came to power democratically, so the peoples choice is not always a wise one.

Hamas has an agenda of terrorism and is dedicated to the destruction of the state of Israel, any negotiations with an administration such as this is a recipe for disaster, if Hamas really want a viable Palastinian state, they need to change their tune, and then a quest for peace can start.

Isn't the issue here less about whether the Government is democratically elected by its people, and more about the fact that a nation cannot openly call for destruction of its neighbour if it wants to be accepted into the international community?

There is no real answer, in an imperfect world, wrong choices are often made.
