Ok this one is for nikkic since she likes Tempranillo

Mano a Mano

Producer: Mano a Mano
Wine: La Mancha
Vintage: 2004
Country: Spain
Appellation: La Mancha
Wine Type: Red
Varietal: 100% Tempranillo

Avg Price $8.00 - $10.00

Deep, dark purple color exuding aromas of black cherries, plums, dried herbs and earth. Plenty of flesh, richness, and black currant/briery fruit notes, a succulent texture, medium body, and wonderful freshness as well as length. It was aged for six months in French oak barrels, but the oak is dominated by the fruit component.

Found this one at USQ (Union Sqr Wines) in NY the owner is also into Spanish wines and when I explained the things I like in a wine he showed me this... and said I have to try it! Loved it instantly!

Another fantastic red that won't break the bank but will fill those empty wine slots in your rack!

Cheers!

Very nice. I will have to look in Toronto when I'm down there. If you are looking for a great desert wine, try Ice Wine in either red or white. It's quite sweet with out the sticky after taste. There are many vin yards in Ontario that produce it, so getting it in NY should be fairly easy.

I haven't seen a red ice wine before... I've had Canadian and German white's. What is the red like?
