The Mayan Calendar is basically a calendar for the collective consciousness.

3 Calendars that work together (although they had as many as 17!)

Haab (Earth) – 365 day calendar. Only used for bookkeeping and records (IE – taxes - yet this is the one we cherish!)

Tzolkin (Count of Days) – 13 intentions, 20 aspects - 260 day calendar – personal/astrological calendar – all Mayan 1st names are the day’s intention/aspect. Every day was a sacred event and held a unique intention/aspect combination to be celebrated.

Tun (Divine/Prophetic) – 360 day calendar. Every 52 revolutions meets up with original point on Tzolkin calendar. At this point, all coals and all sparks in civilization were put out, and all debts were absolved. At age 51 and ¾, Mayan and Native American cultures regarded their members as “elders” because they had lived through the entire cycle.

INTERESTING NOTE - Leviticus 25:10 "And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family."  A portion of this verse is inscribed on the Liberty Bell - yet I don't remember my debts being absolved every 50ish years... wonder why the Bell cracked? ;P

13 cycles (or intentions) between each consciousness movement. 7 days, 6 nights (Biblical significance?) At each cycle, important events for consciousness occur. Days and nights can still represent ‘negative’ events – for the consciousness as a whole to learn.

9 total movements, from the beginning of the Universe, 16.4BYA to the “end”, October 28th, 2011. (popularized as December 21st, 2012 by a different possible start date) – note this is not the end of the universe, but most probably a monumental event in history.

Date Consciousness Product of Movement (Force) Length of day/night cycles.
#D/N – number of day or night – change (this is not always a specific event, simply a change)

16.4 BYA Cellular (Action/Reaction) 1.26 billion years
5D – 6.5 BYA – Birthday of our solar system
5N – 4.5-5 BYA – 250 million years of meteor bombardment leaving water in our solar system
7D – 1.26 BYA – cells created

820 MYA Mammalian (Stimulus/Response) 63.4 million years
5D – 315 MYA – Fossil record shows life moved out of oceans onto land.
5N – Jurassic extinction period. 97% of life eradicated.
7D – 63.4 MYA – original ape fossils

41 MYA Familial (Stimulus/Individual Response) 3.2 million years
5D – Organisms developed ability to see color.
7D – 3.2 MYA – original tail-less ape fossil

2 MYA Tribal (Similarity/Difference - decisions) 160,000 years
5D – 800,000 YA – Archaeologists agree many separate places discover fire.
5N – Ice age.

102,000 YA Cultural (Reasons) 8,000 years
5D – 40,000 YA – Art found in primitive cultures. This is the first attempt in consciousness to create the future. Cave paintings were not depictions of past events, they were prayers done by shamans to induce the future.
5N – 32,000 YA – Neanderthal went extinct. (Archaeologists’ reason: in 100,000 years, Neanderthals never changed – used same tools, lived in the same areas, hunted the same place)

3115 BC National (Law) 397 years
1D - 3115BC – In Egypt, King Minas married upper and lower Nile cultures into the first nation. Also when we started writing.
1N – 2700BC – supposed date of Hebrew Bible. Introduction of good and evil.
3D – Moses receives the 10 commandments.
3N – Massive revolts in Egypt.

6N – Ghengis Khan conquers Asia.
7D - 1355-1755 AD - Discovery of the laws of science.

1755 AD Planetary (Power) 19.7 years
1D - 1755 - Beginning of the industrial revolution
3D – Abolitionist and women’s suffrage movement start and gain steam.
3N – Civil War.
4D – Henry Ford opens his 1st manufacturing plant.
5D – 1913 – Einstein discovers the equation, e=mc^2
5D - 1913 - Federal Reserve Act places private company in control of US national bank, WW1
51/2D – 1924 – Hubble discovers we live in an infinite universe. Everything is possible.

5N – 1932 – The Great Depression. WW2. Atomic bomb detonated. Social Security system created. Hemp outlawed.
6D – The 60’s, man. JFK and MLK assasinated, Vietnam War

6N – War on Drugs in full swing. US goes completely off the gold standard. Aspartame somehow approved by the FDA.
7D – Internet boom.

Morals are a blanket solution to a spontaneous situation. Ethics are a spontaneous solution to a spontaneous situation.

January 5th, 1999 Galactic (Ethics) 360 days
1D - 1999 – First news of impending Y2K disaster. Astronomers find that the universe is constantly accelerating.
1N - 2000 - Y2K. George W. Bush elected.
2D – 2001 – WTO riots. 9/11. 9/11 pretty shady.
2N – 2002 – Enron scandal uncovered.
3D - 2003 – Beginning of Iraq War. Opposed by 75% of Americans by 2006.
3N – 2004 – George W. Bush re-elected. Indian ocean Tsunami kills 300,000.
4D – 2005 - CIA admits Gulf of Tonkin event did not occur.
4N – 2006 - Umm... nobody likes the Iraq War?
5D – November 24th, 2006 - WE ARE IN THIS ERA. New presidential candidates announced. I’m typing this article. The truth slowly becomes common knowledge
5N – November 18th, 2007 – Prepare yourselves!
6D – November 12th, 2008.

February 10th, 2011 Universal (Co-creation) 20 days
7D - October 28th, 2011

The 5th night is always drastic – but notice how much better it gets in the next movement. Multi-million years of meteor bombardment, 97% of life extinction, the ice age, Neanderthal extinction, Rome falling, WW2 and what’s next? Well it won’t be as bad as WW2! Hopefully we learn from our mistakes and never wage war again

I got all of this by taking notes on this 3-part (5 hour) lecture by this guy Ian Lungold, who has been studying the calendar for years. He recently passed away, but he lives on through his lectures that are online for free. :)

He makes a few incorrect assumptions towards the end about what will happen in our consciousness movement but we've still got 4 years left :)
