   smartttman -- While I can agree that labor and business policies in some countries are headed in the wrong direction, I think it would behoove you to better understand specific situations and make rational arguements. You are not helping your cause. In fact, the blind irrationality of your comments make me wonder if you are nothing more than a character invented by someone else on this site with opposing points of view.

   Truthfully i don't really agree with the strike, i just went along with the first because i wanted to show support to my work mates, end of the day i ain't bothered about the pay, i just want slightly better working conditions.

         Smartman i never saw the need to put labels on myself or anybody. What is wrong with equality? End of the day i am a working tax paying man, end of. I go to work for one reason only, and that is to earn money to pay for the roof over my head, food in my stomach, gas to warm my flat and heat my water. electric to light my lights and make my gadget work. The rest of my money which i earn i use for my own selfish enjoyment or the enjoyment of others. What is wrong with that? The fact that i am able to think for myself and thus able to account for my actions is neither here or there for anybody else bar me. That twice you try to use political ideals to insult me with. I never knew a working class monachist can also be a communist. It is plain that you got some sort of problem with my way of thinking, yet you do not know enought about me to based any sort of judgement. Can you elaborate on my socialism agenda then? I am open minded to listen to any sort of conversations even if it just complete bull. As you clearly haven't the foggiest ideas about me or my beliefs let me tell you a wee bit about myself.I was brought up in the north of england by working class parents, i was brought up to work, so hence since the i was halfway through my 15th year i started work and i have worked ever since. I even got a trade behind me. I was also brought up to be open minded and to question everything esp what politican say and the media. I believe in equality, I believe we was all created equal, i also believe in freedom of speech as well as responsibility of speech. I also believe in respect to all, bar idiots. For some strange reason i got a thing against idiots esp those that think they are being smart and are trying to get my goat up. Oh and for your earlier comments about not knowing i got it made, let me tell you that i work and struggle hard to be where i am today, esp, learning to cope with a disability to go out and work, i have known fully able people who can't be arse even to get out of bed in the morning let alone go and do a full day work. You haven't got a clue mate As i have said what i needed to say i won't be commenting on anymore of your comments, because matey i really don't care what you think and that the gods honest truth

    I wonder if ole smarttman is forgeting that his dear father probably toiled long and hard to send him to school so he could be so "smart" I'm sure his dad and his entire family either directly or indirectly benefited from a labor union. It could also just be sour grapes....eh smarttman? Good Luck leiwolf!!! Oh and traitor day? ha ha I guess it depends on your point of view. The whole thing seems to worked out pretty well though, don't ya think?

    Hmm, I remember sitting on a roof top in Brooklyn, with tons of fireworks going off around me. Nursing a beer barrel morosely. When questioned about this by a buddy, Arthur... he asked me puzzled, why so peeved....*what are you celebrating independance from?* I replied....
    
    Several seconds passed before the light bulb went on......*i'm off to get a bottle of Jack from the flat* he replied... and promptly kept me amused for the rest of the evening as I couldnt really celebrate independance from myself.
    Not all americans are traitors or ignorant , some know how to entertain their former colonial masters....

    Kooky----, aye i must admit i quite like our relationships with the yanks (as well as the canadians and ozs) got a lot of time and love for them, yet they did produce paris hilton so i am kinda glad we gave them posh and becks heheheh

    loves bloc party, i am sure the creator had his reason why she / he created paris but i for the life of me can not see a function for her. Unless she was created purely so that I in my own arrogance can scorn and laugh at her, saying that i truely hope she gets her life sorted

    Leiwolf, they do seem to produce an abundance of people with no purpose like Paris, but we ain't entirely different, see Jordan, Pete Docherty, and the footy wives, I think we should have an anglo american pact and export them all to that french island they used for nuclear testing.... problem solved. Maybe then we may get some real news in the papers.
