    thanx everyone...she is called Claudia...she will be in hospital for a few weeks but is doing really well...after the c section she didnt have to be resuscitated, which im told is very rare...she came off the oxygen a day after bein born and is now moving her head around taking good looks around...shes a strong baby..only weighs 2pounds 10 ounces but is getting bigger

       Aaah! I was just abt to ask how much she weighed. Sweet little thing. What a lovely name. Pls post picture when you can. ( As you can see I am getting into grandma mode ready for our own event on 1st August!)

    update...the doctors are really impressed with her and how quickly she is growing...they expected her to be in hollis street ( a main hospital for kids in dublin) for about a month then sent to a regional hospital for a few weeks...but already they are saying that she is doing that well that they are sending her to the regional hospital in the town where my brother and sister in law live and she should be out of there and home in about 3 weeks!

    Hi Mark
    
    My eldest was prem by about a month. He was born breech with his feet up by his face and the cord wrapped round his neck. 'Twas not fun. But he survived and now is a partner in a $2,000,000 internet business - funny thing is though, he has always tried to run before he could walk, as the saying goes, whereas his brother (who was well late) has always been the more idle of the two - any correlation in that do you suppose?
