I never got much into Potter myself. I couldn't make it through the first book. The style of writing just put me to sleep.
Last paragraph of the Reuters article: ""In fact it is quite possibly because her own style is so bland that her readers feel able to play with her characters," writes Telegraph critic and author Frances Wilson.
