"Unlike the surface-based temperatures, global temperature measurements of the Earth's lower atmosphere obtained from satellites reveal no definitive warming trend over the past two decades. The slight trend that is in the data actually appears to be downward. The largest fluctuations in the satellite temperature data are not from any man-made activity, but from natural phenomena such as large volcanic eruptions from Mt. Pinatubo, and from El Niño. So the programs which model global warming in a computer say the temperature of the Earth's lower atmosphere should be going up markedly, but actual measurements of the temperature of the lower atmosphere reveal no such pronounced activity."

Surface-based temperatures are wrong according to Anthony Watts an american Meteorologist. He went to various weather stations and found that the locations of the thermometers, were place in inproper locations. Such as near airplane engines, Chimneys, etc.) which give false readings which determin a increased value compared to actual heating. This of course is used as historical data to prove global warming is occuring. More Info: http://www.surfacestations.org

This is just one recording station, but clearly there have been summers which have been more wet than this one. The problem with historical data is that it is only good for those who actually read it - one person's opinion of it, which is read incorrectly can cause panic. In addition, most people have very short term understanding of history - 20-50 years of knowledge, which is nothing compared to the length of history which humans have lived on this planet.

Lots of so-called scientists will jump on the global warming bandwagon, because it is profitable, and they are whores, not scientists (no matter what their degree certifciate says).
The CCSP SAP 1.1 Executive Summary states:
"Previously reported discrepancies between the amount of warming near the surface and higher in the atmosphere have been used to challenge the reliability of climate models and the reality of human-induced global warming. Specifically, surface data showed substantial global-average warming, while early versions of satellite and radiosonde data showed little or no warming above the surface. This significant discrepancy no longer exists because errors in the satellite and radiosonde data have been identified and corrected. New data sets have also been developed that do not show such discrepancies."

Aside from that, what erks me about global warming is that its pointed solely at the feet of consumers as being the cause of the problems. Very very little concern for the industries which cause most environmental pollution. The industries which pump toxins in the air, which cause more women to be born around the world, rather than boys, and toxins which provide the populations with cancers. But in 2012, it will be illegal for me (possible jail time) for owning an incandescent light bulb. Seems if there is really an issue, a serious problem, we should ban coal and oil from being used, ban all gasoline powered equipment and go back to electric. no more oil based plastic, back to hemp. Stop cutting down the trees, and start using hemp for paper (again), and stop making low quality products which only last 2 months before they need to be replaced. Return to a time of being at one with the environment, rather than seperate from it. This would do more to help the environment, than worrying about a light bulb which is also used for heat (because of its extremly poor energy effeciency - blame edison, not me).
