As the aroma of dying roses wafts from Valentine's Day, and Ash Wednesday is just around the corner, it is also time for the Irish and the Irish-at-heart to plan St. Patrick's Day celebrations. A small Irish community in northwest Iowa hosts an Irish celebration of grand proportions annually during the week surrounding St. Patrick's Day.

Irish dignitaries, top-notch entertainment, rugby, princesses, pubs, and a huge parade rank this event as a bigup in this area founded by Irish immigrants.

So, you say you have no plans for St. Pat's? Well, come on over to Emmetsburg where Cead Mile Failte is more than an Irish greeting!
