A love that now makes me laugh.
I didn’t know him and he still doesn’t know me,
We met over moments of indulgence of thought and fantasy.
A dynamic that I knew had a life but couldn’t trace its birth,
And in that I was convinced it was immortal and eternal.
I was warned by the wisdom of which only he was convinced,
That the fish that swims in the ocean of fantasy will die a tragic death in the desert of reality.
But the dreamer inside me would not yet resign and shut her eyes.
This dream of mine took flight in the light of reality as well...
Extatic. Ready to explore. Ready to navigate through his pre conceived notions of what will work and what cannot, who is he and who are we….
Answers , without asking the right questions are fatal things.
They take us places that are too far from the better destination we know we must reach.
I say it makes me laugh now, because I know he was right back then….It was my dream...my fantasy…not his.
