Got a problem with field mice at the moment.
They're getting in through the vents at the back of my cooker and running riot around my ground floor while we're sleeping! Normally, I wouldn't care, but these little freaking things leave their sh1t everywhere! And I'm not the best at keeping food on the cooking surface while I'm preparing food!
So - I do do what any self-respecting non-vegetarian would do and I go buy some mousetraps.
Now - when I was a kid - using a mousetrap was easy .... you set some cheese on it and that was it .... oh no, not anymore. Mice these days have caught on to that, apparently! Mice have become somewhat more sophistcated! They've gone up in the world.
Do you know what the instructions told me I had to put on the trap? No, NOT cheese, not the staple diet of every Gerry that gets chased by a Tom in the whole world - but PEANUT BUTTER!
Peanut butter? I've clearly missed some major ecological or evolutionary development in the mouse kingdom.
Help us all. It'll be caviar next.

This person had problems with Mice eating thier cacti. And tried the peanut butter solution, but the mice seemed to take the butter, eat the cacti, and run!

I think cheese is too fatty for their tastes.
