Walking stark naked into Selfridges

Hi, after a frenetic two weeks since the Woyano beta launch, I thought it was time to get blogging.

Well first off, its been intense. I think that launching a website is a bit like becoming a parent.... nothing can prepare you for it. It's a heady mixture of excitement and fear.

So where are we .... well first off a big thanks to all the people who volunteered to beta test and have been providing their feedback. We know you're all really busy so its much appreciated.

Despite all our collective ideas and testing within the team, there have been lots of things on the site that needed improving (& still do), so JV and his team have been flat out making good (thanks guys!). But overall we're pleased to see that people get that Woyano is trying to do some new things, and like what we're doing.

As anyone who's ever started an online community knows, the first days/weeks while you try and build a core community can leave you feeling quite exposed. Its a bit like being a baby with no clothes on, except we're adults and it feels more like walking stark naked into Selfridges to buy your first clothes. Anyway, we now have an enthusiastic core and due to user feedback, we've opened up the site for sign-ups (sorry to anyone who was frustrated by the waiting list).

The site is still very much in beta so we appreciate your patience. There's lots more to come and you'll get a sense of this in the coming days/weeks/months. Meantime, enjoy the site and get your opinions and knowledge out there.
