I have a confession which could bring down upon me the scorn of loyal football fans around England. I can't be bothered to travel from London to Cardiff to watch my beloved Arsenal play Chelsea in the Carling Cup Final.
Given the amount of FA Cup Final's Arsenal have played at Cardiff in recent years its not like I don't know the way. And I'm not sure what's brought on this sense of lethargy. Could be that the 'Carling Cup Final' just isn't top draw (I'll be there if its Arsenal in the Champions League Final). But actually I think its a bit more selfish than that.
At some point in the not too distant future, the rebuilt £800m ($1.5bn) Wembley Stadium will be open and well, its a 5 mile drive and 25 minutes versus hundreds of miles, many hours and ridiculous congestion when getting out of Cardiff.
Call me selfish (& no offence to Cardiff because the stadium is fabulous and the hospitality excellent), but life's about to get a lot easier for glory seeking Gooners!
Come on you Reds!
