The Conservative Party promises to scrap Health and Safety laws that hamper the actions of police officers in life threatening situations. New legislation in this area has great merit.
The big question is whether a future Conservative Government will be able to change this law without contravening EU law, I don't know the answer. But it seems to me that British politicians are constantly caught out when trying to introduce new legislation, because so much of so called UK law is under EU jurisdiction.
Now the puzzling thing is, are the politicians just ignorant of the law, or are they merely trying to kid us, that they are in charge.
