 THE WAXWORK FIGURE OF HITLER

IN MADAME TUSSAUDS IN BERLIN
On the opening day of Berlin's Madame Tussauds, a man tore of the head of a waxwork figure of Adolf Hitler. There have been a number of protests, some saying it was inappropriate to display the Nazi dictator, others saying it was in bad taste.

Let me make it quite clear that I deplore Adolf Hitler a despicable mass murderer. But I fully support the view that his figure should be displayed in Berlin, the reality is that he is part of world history, and in that context his unfortunate past existence cannot be denied.
