They use it as a peace awareness project, but also to honor a young girl named Sadako Sasaki. (I have added a link to one of the web sites) Sadako was 2 years old when the atomic bomb went off. Nine years later she developed leukemia. It is believed that if you fold 1000 cranes, your wish will come true. Sadako worked very hard to complete the thousand cranes, but eight months after being diagnosed, she died. Every year Hiroshima encourages people from all over the world to fold cranes. My wish for my 1000 cranes is that one day we will no longer need to work so hard for peace, that we will have learned to live together in our global community.

Another project we are working on is logging random acts of kindness. If anyone has a random act of kindness they would like to share, I would be very excited to add them to our log. Some of the ones we have collected so far are very touching and kinda choke me up a bit. Maybe we can all kick in our 2 cents. The more kindness out there the better, as far as I'm concerned.
Moosetracks out.
