A type of Calpol [children's medication to reduce fever] could be sold off the shelf, under new plans, this has angered Pharmacists. At present Calpol Six Plus can only be bought by asking the Pharmacist for it, who then cautions the parent about giving children to much because it contains paracetamol.
In my view the pharmacist's are adopting a "nanny" type attitude, together with a touch of self-interest. If the product goes on sale in supermarkets and corner shops, they will loose the business. Surely if the product is properly labelled, to advice caution, there should be no problem.
