Bebo

I'm writing this review about Bebo because I love it so much. The first thing i have to say about it is that all the features on the site are free. I have used alot of socail media sites but never one like this, its unique. you more or less have total control over what your profile looks like. There are no upload limits for photo's. Its fun too, you can add video's from YouTube.com or upload them direct using videoegg publishing. They have loads of sections on each page including Friends, Playlists, Bands, Flash Box, Bands, Widgets, White Board, Photos, Quizzes, Polls, Comments.

Your Profile

The main section is where you write whatever it is you want to say about yourself. There are 3 columns the left one has your main profile photo there you find links that you use to change your Skin, upload or change your profile photo edit your profile, or get a "Bebo Badge" which is a html link to your page that you can put on your other sites e.g. MySpace to show off your page. When your veiwing other people's pages you can Send a Message, Add or Remove as Friend or block a user from leaving a comment or messaging you. the middle column is where you write all about you. Unfortunatly there's a 1000 word limit. the middle column also cotains stats like gender, age, hometown, profile veiws, country, and your url. Its also where you acn display your "Other Half of Me", you know that someone specail on your friends list.... boyfriend, girlfriend, best mate, brother, sisiter etc... by clicking on someones other half you can view their profile. You can leave a little comment under your other half to tell the world what they mean to you. the right hand column has 7 sections with headings where you write about stuff like your music, movies, t.v., and...well, just about anything you want. There are no limts in these sections.

 Friends

The Friends is where the links all your buddies you choose your top 16 friends, these are displayed on your profile. The rest a veiwable under the all tab at the top of the section or the friends tab on the top of page, also under this tab you can delete friends.

Its a bit of a popularity contest really. Just like the the brand spanking "Share the Luv" feature.

Bebo Bands

Bebo bands is extremly cool. Bands can register and put up a profile, where they can uploads mp3s of their music. Band members can link this page to their profile any band member can edit the profile. they upload music video's you can find some very interseting home-made music vids..... Beware of this one i'd rate it at least 15's. (p.s the mad dude is my boyfriends big bro). Here is where i have to give a big up to the local bands.... to be honest a lot of them aren't really my style but there cool guys so......

you can become a groupie of a band too. You can become a "Groupie" of any band. All of the bands you are a groupie of you displaye in the bands section on your page. if you don't want to become a groupie you just add the songs you like to a playlist. The playlists have a section of its own bit i didn't really think it a big enough feature to get its own paragraph. There are playlist charts that alot of people are really into. People compile the playlists, then the more people who copy the playist to their own page the higher up the charts you move!

click on Bands at the top of the page and it'll show you the bands you like at the top. Then below it you will see links to bands arranged by genre.  

There is however a down side to this...people set up band pages like   starlet turbos-glanza owners, prez sxc 2nd yrs, and loads of other's that are just so pointless and irratating....... It hink its a shame because Bebo is very famous now and its a great way for unsigned bands to get recognised, even if its not by a label it must be confidence boost to watch your groupies list grow.

Share the Luv

Is one of the latest edtions to the site. Everyday, only once a day, you"Share the Luv". When you leave a comment you check the box and a little love heart appaers inthe comment when its posted. Everytime someone sends you Luv its counted in the main section of your profile.

Skins

Skins are the background on your page there are 100's in the Skin Charts or you can upload your own. There are detailed specifcations on how it should be designed. But there are also alot of sites where brilliant designers known as Skinners upload skins they have desinged that you can download then upload onto your own page.
