We are very please to announce Woyano channels!

Now you can easily create channels to help you:

• Organise your content effectively
• Promote specific topics
• Choose who can view your content (family, friends etc.)

Channels help you (and your readers) sort through what you post on Woyano. For example, you could create a channel dedicated to guitar lessons. You could then make that channel public (available for anyone to view) or choose specific people that you want to share the content with (e.g. your family).

Each channel has a direct link that you can use to send to friends and promote - your channels are also shown on your My Woyano Site start page - as well as being a sub section in thier own right.

Hi All,

Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to revoke Woyano ad-revenue sharing for future users who sign-up with us.

This will not affect existing users who are already set-up to receive revenue sharing. I.E. If you already have Adsense sharing switched on you will keep getting your share of Adsense displays.

The reason we have had to make this change is that as a company we need to take these revenues in order to pay for server and staffing costs.

Also, Google require that we remove the ability for users to choose a charity to benefit from the revenue as this breaches their terms and conditions. But never fear, we have come up with a new plan. From this point forward we will be giving 20% of the woyano.com profits to charity.

Regarding charity earnings that have been made to date - we will calculate how much has been made for each charity and then we will send cheques to those charities – then we will report back to you on proceedings – so check back here in a week or two.

Over the last few weeks we've been gathering all your feedback together and have made some major changes.  We've reworked the navigation too so it's much easier to find what you want when you want it.

We really hope you like it.  There are lots more smaller changes in the works too so keep your eyes peeled and keep sending us your feedback!  We read ALL of it!


NOTE: If the site looks strange and/or you're getting old or missing images then try doing a hard refresh of your browser (on Windows machines you can do this by holding down the control key and pressing F5)
  

We have added the ability for you to delete comments from your content!

Many of our members have asked for this so now you have complete control over what comments appear under your content. Just look for the red cross at the bottom-right of a comment next to the "reply" link:



IMPORTANT NOTE: If you delete a comment that people have replied to, you will also delete all of those replies! So be careful!

Hello Woyano Members,

Your contributions are making Woyano a great place to be! We know that sometimes it can be difficult to know the right way to submit your contributions, so that they subcribe to the values of the site. Our Terms of Use outline the proper way to post and how to avoid breaking any rules as you enjoy Woyano.

Sometimes it's helpful to have a little refresher course, so here's a quick review with tips on proper posting!

• If you didn't write it, cite it! While posting at Woyano, remember to cite your sources from the web. For things like jokes, recipes, and pics, you might link to the external site where you found it or paste the URL below the content.

• Show us where you find your News and Reviews. For news stories or reviews written by someone else, you should also link to the external website. News stories belong to the publisher/journalist who wrote them, so it's best to give us the first couple of paragraphs and link to the rest of the article at its source so we can follow back.

• Be responsible about the types of content you contribute. Be aware of material that is protected by patent, trademark, or copyright and seek owner's permission before posting. Videos from YouTube, for example, are generally acceptable to post. Have fun but be respectful of others with regards to material that might be offensive or sexually explicit. Flag if possible as "adult content".

Hope this doesn't put a damper on things, but we do need to acknowledge if someone else wrote content first so that everyone can be a part of the revenue sharing here. We're always looking out for the best interests of our members, and that includes helping you enjoy the site free of any legal trouble!

This may not sound very exciting now, but just have a look at how much easier it is to contribute by clicking "Contribute Now" and following through to the add content form.
